Mei Hong was born in December, 1975. She is from Taizhou, Jiangsu province. She received a bachelor of engineering and a doctor of management. She is currently the master’s supervisor and the associate professor at School of Public Policy and Administration, Xi’an Jiaotong University. She is also the assistant to the dean of Xi’an Jiaotong University “Belt and Road” Free Trade Zone Research Institute. She was a visiting scholar of Florida State University and Nanyang Technological University from 2013 to 2015. Her research focuses on public policy evaluation, education development and evaluation.
Courses taught: Since 1999, she taught Descriptive Geometry and Engineering Drawing at College of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, Northwest Agriculture Forestry University. And since 2010, she taught Special Topics in Higher Education and Official Document Writing for graduate students, MPA students and undergraduate students at School of Public Policy and Administration, Xi’an Jiaotong University. She also taught Positive Psychology and Cultivation and Practice of Innovative Thinking for Qian Xuesen Experimental Class, Basic Discipline Top-notch Class and Special Class for the Gifted Young of China in Qian Xuesen Honor College. She has guided 20 graduates so far.
Research summary: From 2010 to 2018, she presides over 28 research projects, including three Natural Science Foundation of China projects, one Ministry of Education “Basic Discipline Top-notch Program” key research project and one National Social Science Foundation project. She participates in several Ministry of Education Philosophy & Social Science Foundation key projects and National Social Science Foundation key projects. She also publishes 49 academic papers and 2 monographs, takes part in compiling 13 monographs and makes academic reports for over 20 times.
